How to Make UV DTF Cup Wraps with a UV Flatbed Printer?

uv dtf cup wraps

UV DTF stickers have become incredibly popular in the current market, with UV DTF cup wraps particularly gaining considerable attention on platforms like TikTok. Technically, UV DTF cup wraps can be made with a simple UV printer that’s capable of printing varnish which all Rainbow flagship models can do. So how do we make them? this article will show you how to.
By the way, a UV DTF printer can make UV DTF cup wraps perfectly and simply, but this article won’t cover this part.
There are some materials and equipment that we need to prepare prior to making UV DTF cup wraps:
1. UV flatbed printer
2. UV DTF AB film
3. Laminator
4. Alcohol spray bottle
5. Scissors
6. a clean environment
First, we need to use the UV flatbed printer, print size A3 and above since the AB film required is made in A3 and it’s more efficient to print on A3 size UV DTF film than smaller. The Rainbow product line starts with the versatile RB-4030 Pro, an A3 size UV printer that’s perfect for anyone looking to start a diverse UV printing business beyond just stickers.
Now you got a printer, we are starting the print. So the material we need to use is called AB film, consisting of film A which comes in pieces, usually 100pcs per set, and B film which comes in a roll, usually 50m per set. And we are going to do the first print, that is printing on film A.
Film A looks like transparent plastic film, comes in pieces and it consists of three layers, plastic base film, glue, and plastic protective film. The ease of use(means how easy it is to peel the base film off and use the sticker) depends on the plastic base film, and adhesion depends on the glue. So far we have seen many cases of not using the stickers well either because of the cheap base film or not-good-enough glue, so make sure you choose the right film before making a bulk purchase.

So we are going to print on film A, peel off the protective film, and have a piece of sticky film A. We put the film aside for a second, spray some alcohol on the table, and then put the film on the table, let the alcohol attach the film and the table nicely, this will save you some headaches just to fix the film if you don’t have a vacuum suction table. By the way, all Rainbow models can install a vacuum suction table, some even come as a default configuration. When printing, make sure you print on the right spot, and within the coverage of the film A.
After printing, take it off the table carefully, and now we need to use the laminator. Before using it, we need to make sure it’s all set. Install the roll of film B on the laminator, and press the control button to let the film roll out for 10cm or so. Then we turn on the heating function of the laminator, this will make it laminate better, avoiding bubbles. Then insert the film A in and start laminating. In this step, we need to be careful not to insert the film A crooked, make it even and straight, and insert, watch out for the process.
After laminating, cut it off, and there you go, ready-to-use UV DTF stickers, you can make it for sale for a nice profit.
